Issue Position

I firmly believe that our country's 18 trillion dollar debt represents a serious threat to our national security. The speed at which compromised politicians, in both political parties, have driven up our national debt over the past eight years is staggering.

Continuing the status quo of out of control government spending resulting in massive yearly deficits and a higher debt burden only serves to mortgage our future and the future of our children.

As your Congressman, I will fight to drastically reduce our nation's debt by cutting spending, opposing the destructive habit of repeatedly raising the debt ceiling, and operating within the constraints of the U.S. Constitution until we reach a sustainable budget surplus.
